This week has been very cold and stormy and today there is snow on the mountain that looks down over town. It was 6 degrees and with wind chill it was... very cold. Big waves, lots and lots of the big oil boats in town and some of the ferries cancelled.
After waxing lyrical about autumn I really had forgotten how cold it is. And of course there is the problem of clothing - luckily Mr T and I own A LOT of jackets each so I can poach some of his. And some of mine will last me a little longer. But some of them... well, they just don't stretch that far - already.
And it is getting dark now too, a dense darkness. This morning the sun came up at 8:40am and will go down 5:45pm.
Some photos (to keep my blog all pretty and cheery like) from a warmer time. Norway actually had a heatwave this summer and was the warmest place in Europe for a few days. We were of course in the car which we discovered has no air conditioning (hadn't needed to find that out before). But on that trip went to this 850 year old wooden church. It was just incredible. Norway has some of the oldest wooden buildings in the world, they are called stave churches and this one is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Purty.

Wow, no comments yet! I might win this one. Here's my theory - because you have a teeny tiny person budding inside you, your personal insulation system is functioning with a safety buffer-zone (so as to provide maximum response time in an emergency temperature differentiation situation). Naturally it is experienced as a 1-degree perceived variation. Because Mr T is not equipped with such an advanced way of defending against the potentially negative consequences of the 2nd law of thermodynamics he does not experience this perceived variation.
quod erat demonstrandum
It's the marvel of motherhood. That's my 2 cents.
