Antenatal classes

Got our letter about antenatal classes today. A bit different to New Zealand I think. Firstly, it is called Parent Preparation course - nice and inclusive for fathers! But also it really is more about parental preparation.

There are only three evenings, the first is two and a half hours and is with the midwife and representative from the trygdekontoret... welfare office, I guess (translation issues), and that will cover birth and welfare rights. The next is two hours and is with a family advisor and is on communication for new parents. And the last is with the midwife at the hospital for a look around. And we have to pay, just $75 but am pretty sure it is free in NZ. Maybe?

So that should be interesting. Starts in two weeks. Really hoping we can meet a couple with similar interests etc or at least some new mummy buddies for me.
